What are the characteristics of ball valves?

2024-09-27

1、 Wear resistant; Due to the fact that the valve core of the hard sealed ball valve is made of alloy steel spray welded,

The sealing ring is made of alloy steel overlay, so the hard sealed ball valve will not experience significant wear during opening and closing. (Its hardness coefficient is 65-70):

2、 Good sealing performance; Due to the fact that the sealing of the hard sealed ball valve is manually ground until the valve core and sealing ring are completely aligned before use. So his sealing performance is reliable.

3、 Light switch; Due to the use of a spring at the bottom of the sealing ring of the hard sealed ball valve to tightly hold the sealing ring and valve core together, the switch is very light when external forces exceed the pre tightening force of the spring.

4、 Long service life: It has been widely used in various sectors such as petroleum, chemical, power generation, papermaking, atomic energy, aviation, rockets, as well as in people's daily lives.

Floating Ball Valve

Pneumatic ball valves have a simple and compact structure, reliable sealing, and easy maintenance. The sealing surface and spherical surface are often in a closed state, which is not easily eroded by the medium and is easy to operate and maintain. They are suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas. They are mainly used to cut off or connect media in pipelines, and can also be used for fluid regulation and control.

Gas over Oil Actuated Ball Valve

Compared with other types of valves, pneumatic ball valves have the advantages of angular stroke output torque, quick and stable opening, wide applicability, and the following:

1. The thrust bearing reduces the friction torque of the valve stem, which can make the valve stem operate smoothly and flexibly for a long time.

2. Anti static function: Install springs between the ball, valve stem, and valve body to dissipate static electricity generated during the switching process.

3. Due to the good self-lubricating properties of materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene, the friction loss with the ball is small, resulting in a long service life for pneumatic ball valves.

4. Low fluid resistance: Pneumatic ball valves have the lowest fluid resistance among all valve classifications, even for reduced diameter pneumatic ball valves, their fluid resistance is quite small.

5. Reliable sealing of valve stem: Due to the fact that the valve stem only rotates without lifting, the packing seal of the valve stem is not easily damaged, and the sealing ability increases with the increase of medium pressure.

6. Good sealing performance of valve seat: The sealing ring made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene is easy to seal, and the sealing ability of pneumatic ball valves increases with the increase of medium pressure.

7. Low fluid resistance, full bore ball valves have almost no flow resistance.

8. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.

9. Tight and reliable. It has two sealing surfaces, and the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely used with various plastics, which has good sealing performance and can achieve complete sealing. It has also been widely used in vacuum systems.

10. Easy to operate, quick opening and closing, only need to rotate 90 ° from fully open to fully closed, making it convenient for remote control.

11. Easy to maintain, ball valve structure is simple, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient.

12. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium, and when the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.

13. Widely applicable, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, suitable for applications from high vacuum to high pressure.

14. Due to the wiping property of ball valves during opening and closing, they can be used in media with suspended solid particles.

15. High processing accuracy, expensive cost, not suitable for use at high temperatures. If there are impurities in the pipeline, it is easy to be blocked by impurities, causing the valve to fail to open.
